Description:
Cross-cut tester with folding ruler.
Handling:
- place the folding ruler on the coating under test
- make the required number of cuts with the desired spacing, using the NT-cutter. After each cut along a shim, turn the shim upwards and make the next cut
- turn the folding ruler for 90 degree and make the same number of cuts again so that a lattice pattern is formed
- remove all loose particles in the area of the cross-cut as instructed in the standards
- carefully examine the cut area, using a magnifier if specified or agreed
- by comparison with the figures and descriptions determine the cross-cut classification
